What to expect

Our meetings start promptly at 7:30. The first half is dedicated to Table Topics. This is an opportunity for members who aren't on the programme to develop their impromptu speaking skills. Each topic is evaluated before a brief intermission. In the second half members deliver prepared speeches. The whole evening is a mix of learning, fun and feedback.

All guests are very welcome.

History of
Toastmasters
London Cardinals History
Thanks Ralph

Ralph C Smedley’s early work with Toastmasters is a testimony to his insight and tenacity. While working for the YMCA, he discovered that many young men were tongue-tied and awkward in their presentations. In 1924, to help them improve, he created a club where they could practice public speaking in an atmosphere of acceptance and assistance. There are now over 11,500 Toastmaster clubs worldwide.
